"Gun Crimes Going Unpunished in Washington"

Great, so that law that was passed was just to make everyone feel better about themselves. Do we need another initiative so the cops will actually do their jobs?

3
Owner of Uncle Ike's signed that racist petition huh? Stop giving him your money people! Go to Ponder which is right by Ike's.
4
@3 What exactly is racist about the petition?
6
A lot of petitions have no legal sway; nevertheless they serve the purpose to to create a record of protest by citizens in our free society.
7
@5 Does that mean anyone not protesting Trump is racist too? Or if we think that she has better things to do than encourage protests (which waste city money because of cops) that we're racist too?
8
Thank the FSM that our officials are working to protect us from the tsunami of hatred, racism, and sadistic bigotry about the be unleashed by Trump and the RepubliKKKan Congress.
9
@8: FSM = Flying Spaghetti Monster - ?
11
The Stranger wants to not-so-subtly urge you not to go to Ike's since he signed a petition, but that is not going to stop them from taking money from Ike's to advertise his business all over Slog!

Now that is conviction we can all get behind!
12
@11 Or it shows they have a good wall between ad and editorial. One of the signs of a mature news organization.
13
@12: They sell themselves as "advocacy journalists," not a mature or respected news organization.

Just for the record, I don't care, I just think that the hypocrisy is funny. You know they would call out other groups that would take money from people they ostensibly are against.

'Racist' is the new N word.
Mindlessly spewed by the Angry Left at anyone or anything they disagree with.
It is the Tourette Syndrome of political discourse.
We should pity the sad credulous frustrated inarticulate uninformed bitter queens who make it their every other word.
Sad...
16
@10 You've got me, I've complained about protesters wanting to shutdown I-5. I never though bitching about a long commute counted as racism.
17
@15: Yep, and I'm a bitter queen. But here's to bitter queens with cooler heads!
19
@18: You didn't vote for Hillary. Your vote might have helped her win. You didn't do all you could to defeat Trump. Hence, you are a racist.
21
@20: Haha, all these hilarious internet tantrums and you didn't even vote for Hillary? Democrats/liberals who did not think they had to vote for Hillary for her to win is exactly the reason she lost. What a clown you are.

And by the way, I know self-awareness is not really your thing, but "gotcha games" are literally all you do here. My god, read your own comment history, dumbshit.
23
@20: Even in this deep blue state of Washington, I voted for Hillary Clinton because anything could have happened. In addition, you cannot extrapolate any of my comments to be in support of Donald Trump. Arguing conservative and pro-business principles does not equate an endorsement of Trump and you know it.

Also, re-read @21 and then say its last word repeatedly as you gaze into a mirror.
24
@22: You're right, we'll never know for sure. But all of us can be 99% confident that you did not vote for Hillary given what you're been saying. Of course, if you did vote for her - please set the record straight.
26
@18 When did i ever say that i was better than minorities? Stop trying to muddle your answer by screaming racism. It's not an unreasonable thing to want the freeway to not be run over by a bunch of people butt-hurt from the election. Have you considered accepting the results of the election?

@22 maybe you're a fucking idiot. Its clear you can't have graduated from even middle school if your so incompetent that you can't fill-in the right circle.
27
In addition Herr Wurst, when you say your vote doesn't matter (@20) you're playing into a construct of thinking that deteriorates our democracy and meshes with the thinking of Steve Bannon and the Donald.
29
@28 Seeing as how you must have a learning disability, i'll repeat the question. How is it racist that to ask the seattle city council to do their jobs instead of inciting protests which will do nothing?
30
@25: I made a silly joke about how Melania should be First Lady in a Hillary Clinton White House.

Geez.
32
@31: No, it's not about free speech, keeping the roadways open is public safety and the most critical role of government. You know, ambulances, women in labor, snake bite emergencies, etc.

Please wait...
