Not mentioned: Shasti Conrad! Born in Calcutta and adopted by an American single mother, Shasti moved to the Northwest. After graduating from Seattle U Shasti began working in the Seattle Mayor's Office before becoming a Field Organizer for the Obama '08 Campaign during the primaries. She was offered a job in the White House and was promoted to Executive Assistant to Valerie Jarrett in the White House. After leaving D.C. to attend Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Government, Shasti aided Malala Youfsafzai and the Malala Fund (even attending the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony with Malala's family). After getting her MPA, Shasti joined the Bernie Sanders campaign and then fought for Democrats up and down the ticket after the convention. At 32, Shasti is the youngest person running for the seat (in a district with an average age of 38) and the only person I believe in who has the policy chops, community organizing prowess, and political instincts to lead the 37th. Go Shasti!
