In some cases, hotels will be required to ban guests accused of assault or harassment.

If you care about civil liberties, you should be extremely terrified of this sentence. The "some cases" in this law is defined as "a statement made under penalty of perjury" (ie, any statement to a police officer or a court deposition) or "other evidence".

This reminds me of bar owners complaining about indoor smoking bans. They said it would drive away the customers. They didn't seem to care about bar staff having to inhale secondhand smoke all ay every day and dying prematurely of COPD and lung cancer.

That's how capitalism works, folks. The capitalists will always place workers in harm's way if they think it will make them some money. They don't care if it kills us. Or if workers get raped.
