Plenty of great stories ran in the paper this week, not to mention those included in our Spring fresh edition of the Seattle Art and Performance guide. Here's a digest of what you might have missed, plus a look at the most-read stories on The Slog last week.

In this week's feature centerpiece, Sean Nelson watched the entirety of Steve Bannon's filmography in a quest to understand the mind of the man pulling strings behind today's POTUS.

Open City sheds light on the woke comedy of Seattle troupe Odd Babes, and includes a cheeky Town Hall with The Incredible Hulk as well as reader favorite I, Anonymous.

Ana Sofia examines the new surcharges showing up on receipts around town and discusses whether or not they are politically motivated, while Sydney talks to this week's Person of Interest, Savannah Sly, a sex workers' rights activist.

In film, we have reviews of Logan (the new untraditional X-Men outing that could be the very best X-Men outing) and Kedi (a Turkish documentary about the stray cat population in Istanbul), a waxing on new FX show Legion (another X-men-spawned piece—this one a TV series—that breaks from the traditional story-telling model), and Charles' thoughtful breakdown of why the latest Oscars ceremony was the most unforgettable one in history.

Music finds Dave Segal talking to musician Eric Elbogen, who is dissolving his long-standing group, Say Hi, while Kathleen discusses the next band she pretended to like for a boy: The War on Drugs.

Tobias lauds the Southern-styled offerings at Cycene, a new breakfast and lunch joint near Pike Place Market that's featured in Chow. (Grits, anyone?)

In theater, Rich discusses the current proliferation of monologues, and in books, chats with poet Morgan Parker, who explores the facets of black womanhood in her new work, There Are More Beautiful Things Than Beyoncé.

Weed finds High Society columnist Dave Schmader gathering a group of his best girlfriends to evaluate the quality of cannabis-infused vaginal suppositories.

Of course, there's the ever popular Free Will Astrology (for the week of March 1), and ongoing advice favorite, Savage Love.

And finally, we have The Stranger’s Seattle Art and Performance Quarterly; click here for a breakdown of everything you'll find inside...
