Trumpcare to Hurt Trump Voters a Lot: The Oregon Gov. Kate Brown explained to Portland Business Journal that Trumpcare ā€œwould reduce Oregoniansā€™ access to care and increase costs for women and seniors," and that she was "especially concerned about how this bill would negatively jeopardize our stateā€™s budget and economy, especially in rural Oregon.ā€ Meaning, the areas that voted for Trump. The same is probably true of the "750,000 more people covered" in Washington. Many of them are in places that voted for Trump. Indeed, the LA Times crunched some numbers and determined that the places that will hurt the most from the death of Obamacare are "Alaska, Arizona, Nebraska, Tennessee and Oklahoma." Yes, "all five states went for Trump." And not just that. But "also hit hard would be parts of key swing states that backed Trump, including Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Michigan."

Described in the Washington Post's storyā€”"They are poor, sick and voted for Trump. What will happen to them without Obamacare?"ā€”is a man who depends on Obamacare, knows that Trump wants to repeal it, and that he will lose coverage if it is repealed, but he still voted for Trump. Why? Because he, a 54-year-old white man, thought coal jobs might come back under Trump and therefore he would not need no Obamacare. This was his reasoning. And we can assume others in his country, McDowell County, which is very poor and has high rates of chronic diseases, reasoned in the same fashion: They chose the promise of jobs over the certainty of affordable health care.

The left in cities should pay close attention to all of this. We are often told that we lost these voters because we live in an urban bubble and do not appreciate rural realities. But here we have rural people who, while directly and physically benefiting from leftist social policies, rejected what they had in their hands and instead went for benefits that are completely abstract, that are in cloudland. What does this show? That the left is still operating with a They Live model of ideology (the rural whites do not see what is really going, they are lied to, they need these special glasses to see the truth of Trump and bankers, Bernie could have provided these glasses, and so on). But this does not seem to be the case at all. These people voted for Trump with their eyes open. When we turn to 2020, we must not forget this important fact.

White Men Continue to Attack Brown People in Trump America: The police in St. Lucie County, Florida suspect that a 64-year-old Florida white man attempted to burn a convenience store down to the ground because he thought its owners were Muslim. This incident happened on March 10. The suspect is said to have wanted to ā€œrun the Arabs out of our country.ā€ The store owners, however, were not Arabs but Indians. On March 7, 52-year-old white man in Salem, Oregon allegedly attacked a man in a Middle Eastern restaurant with a pipe. According to court documents, the suspect yelled: ā€œGo back to your country, terrorist.ā€ A Sihk man in Kent, Washington told the police that on March 2 a white man said "get out of my country" before shooting and wounding him. On Feb. 24, a 51-year-old white man was charged with the murder of a brown person in a triple shooting that happened in a Olathe, Kansas bar on Feb 22. It is believed that the brown person, an engineer of Indian decent, was shot and killed because of the color of his skin. Another brown person of Indian descent was also shot in this incident. Both are said to have been attacked with racial slurs and told by the alleged shooter to get out his country. The third person who was shot is said to be a white male who stood up for the brown people. Though Trump mentioned the shooting in his address to congress on Feb 28, he has not tweeted about any of these attacks.
