This really happened.
This really happened.

I hope to one day arrive at the point in my career where famous rock stars write music about me.

Case in point: The Stranger's own TV and film critic, and thoughtful observationist of current news, Charles Mudede, and the new song he inspired by underrated musical genius and son of John, Sean Lennon. It's called "Song for Charles."

How can I be so sure this song was written for our Charles? Because Lennon said so. In the spot on Soundcloud where artists traditionally include info about whatever piece of music they've posted, Lennon commented, "I wrote this for Charles Mudede because he is one of the greatest intellectuals of our time."

Take a listen to the serene piano composition below, and catch Charles on April 7 in NYC, where he appears to give a lecture, "Not Even A Satellite: Notes on a Cosmic Motion Picture."
