The state Republican Senate is doing the same thing - late last night they amended their already horrible budget to slash family planning funding at the state level.

I honestly do not think the AHCA was ever meant to pass.

I think this plan was rushed out so it would look like the Trump white house is attempting to repeal and replace the ACA, but that the administration actually does not want to touch health care: it is a complex problem with no clear "winning" solution, so is exactly the kind of thing Trump likely wants to avoid. I think he would rather "punt" on the health care question and let Obama absorb all the criticism for the current plan.

So he gets Ryan to write up some shitty bill, watches it crash and burn in congress, and Trump gets to say, "hey now, I tried, not my fault congress sucks." And as a bonus, he gets to humiliate Paul Ryan, who was a shaky ally at best during Trump's campaign.

God cursed women with child birth as punishment for Eve's sin. Helping women plan parenthood undercuts God's punishment and thus is blasphemy. America is a Christian country we can't allow America to support blasphemy ergo Planned Parenthood has to go. See it is simple very straight forward.

I agree with @2,

Maybe this shitty bill will pass the house but I don't think it has any chance in the senate. But I don't think the republicans really want it to pass anyway, for exactly the reasons TG says @2. Here's what'll happen:

They'll fail to pass it
They'll blame democrat opposition for its failure to pass
They'll continue to tear apart the ACA and blame democrats and Obama

The republicans haven't had any original ideas for ages. All they really do anymore is complain about their opponents. That alone seems to attract followers apparently.

#2 I agree, very insightful. #45 will continue to blame others for what goes wrong, I heard that he cries when he doesn't get his way. ( First wife)
