Without addressing the merits of the case, filing correspondence in a court jacket is inappropriate. Not sure whether it is sanctionable in Washington State, but the judge assigned to the case should tell Plaintiff counsel to knock that shit off.
3
And now all these secondary, tangential things about this sordid case just prolongs our agony. For the good of the city Mayor Murray, please resign and find the better part of valor.
4
Without commenting on the case, the language Beauregard uses in his correspondence with the Stranger alone is borderline psychotic.
5
Murray needs to go. He is a terrible mayor. He would tax the hair on your head if he could.
6
The sanctioning and condoning of brutal sweeps with little or no alternatives for people without shelter by mayor Murray and his regime is reason enough to have him resign now.
7
Beauregard is the biggest thorn in the Mayor's side, but he's also the Mayor's greatest asset in this case.
8
Without commenting on the merits of the case, of course.

@9 FTW

Those who haven't worked in law offices have no idea how many psychotic but actively-practicing attorneys there are. That doesn't automatically get their cases get dismissed or get them sanctioned or disbarred, and judges don't have the time or inclination to research the motives of plaintiffs' counsel.

I am voting for Murray.
I did t vote for him last time.
Many many people are pissed at unfair attack and will vote for Murray out of annoyance with people like a lot of creepy commenters.
13
@4: I'm trying as best as I can to remain objective but he's bleeding into Better Call Saul territory.
14
@12: Like @5 "He would tax the hair on your head if he could"?

I could see that happening.
15
@15
FFS, it's not about Murray.
It's about attack on lib Dem blue state Mayor by the right wing.
Sheesh.
16
Phoebe dear, aren't you being a little overly distraught? I really don't care either way what happens to Murray. We'll have the primary, and then the election in the fall. It will sort itself out.
17
Until you learn the difference between reality and a trumped-up lawsuit, I'm calling on you, Phoebe, to end our collective agony by resigning from commenting on Slog. For the good of us all.

Please, won't you please think of the valor?
18
@17: Trumped up lawsuit - I think I remember the Donald having the same sentiments.

@16: That's too long to have things sort out I'm afraid.
19
"That's too long to have things sort out I'm afraid."

Then you'll just have to suffer living in a city where the Mayor won't resign just because of your personal time-management issues. Buck up, dear; I'm sure you have it in you.

Please wait...
