Every time I hear about another dumb shit thing Trump has said, I wonder about all the reasonably intelligent people who voted for him and continue to support him like blank-eyed party line cheerleaders who keep rah-rahing loudly to drown out facts or common sense.

Yesterday, it was about the Civil War ("Why could that one not have been worked out?") He also seemed to think that Andrew Jackson would have somehow kept that American vs. American war from ever happening. How? Well, he didn't seem to have anything more meaningful to add to the conversation other than spouting ignorance. Because he was talking about the same slave-owning Native American-hating seventh president who sat in the White House from 1829 to 1837, who was supposed to be removed from the $20 bill because of his rather expansive record of atrocities, to be replaced by abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Of course, with a Jackson-worshipping Trump in office, Jackson's eviction from the bill now seems pretty unlikely (and is currently "up in the air").

And after the public outcry started in earnest, he reiterated his view with a tweet:

It's just another example of Trump's knee-jerk way of talking about shit he knows the barest of minimums about. It also reflects his fundamentally flawed view of America overall, and racism rooted so deep, he can't even recognize it.

So, what's next? Take our quiz. Don't see what you think will be his next dumb shit comment? Leave your answer in the comment section below.
