1
who is the dude he shoved and is he from an important country, or is it just like Andorra or Luxembourg?
2
And what a smug, self-satisfied look on his face.
4
That's old school toxic masculinity.
5
Pretty much what one would expect from a pussy-grabbing toddler-man. There is no bottom to the well this guy has sunk whatever prestige was once associated with the office he holds (for now).
6
@ 1 - What does it matter? Shoving people aside, no matter who they are, is at best a sign of a lack of education. And in Trump's case, it's most definitely a sign of his childish narcissistic tendencies.
7
@2:

Yeah, Mussolini used to do that upturned chin tilt thing too.
8
@1:

Apparently, it was the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Duško Markovic.
9
This isn't earth shattering.
10
@6: sarcasm, Ricardo. here's more:
@8: like I thought. they're not even a real NATO member. Montenegran losers deserve it until they pay up
.
11
@9,

Right, probably should've body slammed him for maximum effect.
12
@9: of course not. it's just more mortifying confirmation that he's an utter boor.
13
The front row is for closers, not losers.
14
@3 And where do YOU stand?
15
@ 10 - My bad, then. But I must say your sarcasm is just a tad too close to what actual Trump supporters would say, so it's difficult to perceive it without the intonation.
16
@10

I got it!
17
@3: Thank you for that. I couldn't help but imagine him literally shouting that as he did it (and believing that this is legitimately part of the idea). That helps take some of the sting out of the cringe.
18
they are all lapdogs to US imperialism anyways and have been for decades, so they know their place.
19
@12: Indeed. I'm just cringed-out I guess.
20
In general terms there are two kinds of leaders: those who pull from the front and those who push from the rear. Il Douche now shows us a third way: push to the front.

Because, you can tell he's a leader by virtue of his being in front doing the leading thing...
21
@ 18 - If by "the world community of nations" you mean their governments, you may be right. If you mean the actual people who live in the rest of the world and who'd rather not be submitted to the US's military influence, which is detrimental 99.99% of the time, then you're totally wrong.
22
I think we all need a dose of the Macron-Trump match.

This is #NotNews. It's every single day on the subway. Some lady was on me at twitter about how I'd get fucked up for doing something like that, which is like, I've literally done that or had that done to me over 1,000 and no one ever said a thing either way about it.
25
You're sweet Sportlandia. It's just neither you or any other person on the subway are the President of the United States.
26
Sportlandia, a better analogy is if you were in line for the copier at work. Would you shove a coworker out of the way? What if that coworker were just a lowly intern?

This is not crowded public transport with people rushing and shoving about to get through a mass of people to where they need to be. It's peers at a conference, supposedly acting professional, and in no great rush.

I agree it's not really news. The arms deal with SA is news (but not new), not this. I'd even be willing to go so far as suggest that it was done in jest. The shoved man doesn't seem to mind. Maybe they'd done some bro bonding (gag) and Trump was joking with him. But that look on his face- all chin tilt and macho front and center- uggh makes me want to punch him in the throat.
27
@7) Cheeto & Benito share many facial expressions and gestures - such as that mouth puffing with the lower lip, the melodramatic, affected scowls, and the meaningless broad hand gestures. I thought it was just cuz Benito was Italian; however it turns out that compulsive liars often compulsively use gesturing to try to impart artificial weight to whatever shit spills from their lips. Cheeto particularly channels the mannerisms of Benito when he is reminding us that he is the biggest victim in world of anything ever, which is a very presidential quality in him apparently.
29
@25:

Hell, they're not even the Prime Minister of Montenegro...
30
@27:

This.
32
But of a pattern emerging. Saying Germany is evil, that must have gone down well. Trump doing Russia's bidding perhaps, destabilise the west.
33
*Bit
35
These are his steps to being like putin. Like that little guy in Nth Korea. Subjugate the people thru fear and instead of feeding the citizens build up the military. Trump admires putin, wants what he's got. Alienate old allies of the west and join the Murderer and Thug Brothers. This is Bannon feeding trump the big picture of power. Resist.
36
One other thing that this video highlights is the intense insecurity of Donald Trump, not in his need to be in the front, but written on his face. Look at all of these other national leaders, and what you see is quite self-assurance. What you see on Trumps face is a deep insecurity. It's not merely that Angela Merkel, Narendra Modi, Xi Jinping, or other world leaders would be more sophisticated in angling for a central position, they are each vastly more as ease in the company of other great people. Trump as President of the United States doesn't even have the bare minimum of confidence when interacting with these people and its transparently obvious in his countenance.
37
Sublime @ 36 - What you're basically saying is that he's aware of his shortcomings. Perhaps his only virtue, then.

Unfortunately, nearly 63 million Americans weren't as perceptive.
38
@36 - Truth.
@37 - I don't think it's that 63m of our fellow USAians weren't particularly perceptive, it's that they were --legitimately-- sick of career politicians shovelling neoliberal economics on top of us, and doing little to actually alleviate the increasingly obvious suffering we're dealing with... brought on in no small part by the career politician's friends in Wall Street.
Trump (falsely) presented himself as actually doing something for "the little guy & gal", and (truthfully) as a 'disruptor' of the political status quo.

Unfortunately that 'disruption' was in the direction of garishly embarrassing, globally dangerous, and domestically punishing. But hey, at least he's got the cops & the military on his side.

(Singing) Bye, bye Miss American Empire... / The good-ol days are a-flamin' pyre..."

((sorry for the horrid rhyme))
39
Treacle @ 38 - "Trump (falsely) presented himself as actually doing something for "the little guy & gal"

And they weren't perceptive enough to realize this was a lie, and that he'd be shoving even more drastically nefarious policies down their throats... which everyone else on the planet thought was fucking obvious.

At least the Democratic neoliberal candidates had some concern for the environment, women's rights and minority rights.
40
And the circus, dangerous and ugly, continues.
41
I've just clearly realised all the main religions are props for Patriarchy. What a con, and it's gone on all these years. And dumb women blindly go along. Why don't the women of the Middle East rise up and fight their oppressors? Because they are women, and they bear children.
Fuck the lot of these men worldwide who have treated women like slaves and forced them into dependence, because a free woman is a uncontrolled woman. And these beautiful children and young people and mothers and older people who were killed in Manchester, they were at a free and liberated young woman's concert.
42
Lava @ 41 - I would say "not only for patriarchy", but it's obviously a big part of it, yes. Religions are about control over as many people as possible; because of the importance of women in ensuring the perpetuation of the group (not only do they bear children, but they also generally raise them, especially in earlier cultures where the men were often away fighting for the powers that be), it is doubly important for religions to control them.
43
Yes Ricardo, religion imposes on all, I know. Catholic males were/ are told that masturbation is a sin. It was not ever talked about with us girls. They don't want to touch themselves. And as you know, homosexuality is given so much grief, which just baffles me. How did what adults do consensually in their bedrooms become a religious issue. Being a kind person etc, has nothing to do with sexual preferences.
44
But religion is not about being a kind person, Lava. Religion is about power and control. When left to their own devices, homosexuals did not produce more faithfuls, so they had to either serve a different purpose (become priests and monks and further the religion's cause that way) or pretend that they were straight, get married and have kids. And if they ever strayed, well the catholics have confession to make sure any unapproved activity is monitored, so you'd do well to keep yourself in check or, preferably, give more money to the church so the priest won't accidentally leak enough hints about your preferences during the sermon that everyone knows what it is you do when your not home with the family.

Please wait...
