Sean Spicer a No-Show in Briefing Room: Where is Sean? Deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders addressed that question from a reporter yesterday, after taking the White House megaphone without any explanation. "He's here today," she replied.

But where? Huckabee Sanders said Melissa McCarthy's Spicer's role in the White House has "changed" and that it's "probably been upgraded." It's no secret that Spicer, who lied to the American people on his first day of work, has not impressed his boss. Trump has reportedly been searching for a replacement.

But where is Sean?

Class is Back in Session at Evergreen State College: After days of campus fear and unrest, classes resumed yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m. Police determined that a second threat to the school was not credible. A man previously called threatening to "execute as many people as possible."

A Lot of People Have Opinions About the Public Olympia Institution: The Seattle Times editorial board says Evergreen State College should find a way to punish some students who protest aggressively, or the school is financially doomed. A college professor argued in Crosscut that some white people reacted so strongly to the protests because they identified with Weinstein. A columnist at the Olympian says everybody needs to get their facts straight before forming an opinion. Sound like a bit much? Here's a start.

Fizzcal Policy: City Council passed a 1.75 cents-per-fluid ounce soda tax yesterday afternoon. Drinks covered under the new levy include sodas, sports drinks, juices, bubble tea and most sugar-sweetened beverages. Drinks that won't be taxed include diet soda and milk-based drinks. Tax opponents still have the option of filing for a public referendum to strike down the tax, but their time is running out.

The Inspector General is Reviewing Hanford Workers' Work Comp Process: The review comes after KING 5 reported on a process that often dropped workers' claims for questionable reasons. The Department of Energy has already cancelled a contract with the company that processed those claims, affecting workers at the largest nuclear cleanup site in the United States.

Jenny Durkan Is Raking in Dough: Her campaign has raised $163,000 in three weeks, far ahead any other candidate. Nikkita Oliver came in second during this last filing deadline, bringing in $46,698. In other mayoral money news, the independent journalist Erica Barnett published some of the candidates' net worth. Durkan, as it turns out, has been raking in the dough forever.

Can You Hear Me Now? I'm Standing By a Volcano: Cellphone service may be coming to Mt. Rainier. Well, that's if Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and AT&T get their way. The public is divided. Some say cell phones would disturb the natural splendor of the national park. Others argue having a line to emergency services a safety necessity.

The NSA Says Russia Conducted a Cyber Attack on U.S. Voting Supplier: The Russian government also sent phishing emails to at least 100 election officials, according to a leak sent to The Intercept by a NSA contractor. There is no evidence that Russia's actions had any outcome on the election.

One Hour Later, the Feds Arrest Contractor For Leaks: Reality Leigh Winner, an intelligence contractor, faces charges under the Espionage Act, the first criminal leak case under the Trump administration. In a criminal complaint, federal officials cite Winner for leaking confidential information regarding Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election to an online media organization. Her arrest came one hour after The Intercept published its report.

Day Two of Bill Cosby's Trial Begins Today: Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, claims that Cosby drugged and raped her in in 2004. On day one, Kelly Johnson, another accuser, testified that Cosby did the same to her in 1996. Constand plans to take the stand, but it's unclear when. At least 60 women have accused Cosby of raping or sexually assaulting them. Due to statutes of limitations, Constand's case is the only one to result in criminal charges.
