Preventive care is good and worthwhile, but I appreciate your raising some larger issues that are beyond preventive care. I'll be listening to your non-healthcare positions, too.
The percentage​ of our healthcare dollars that go into administrative busywork is amazing. Doctors writing arguments to insurance companies, people working full-time to code insurance claims, then to call and talk about how to resubmit them, people on the insurance end too... folks need jobs but these are not how we should be doing this.
Medicare and Medicaid are not free of this by the way. Even single-payer has work to do.
