Sounds unbearably heavy handed, but the sledgehammer approach sometimes works.

Anyone who says "cultural appropriation" needs to get punched in the dick. The correct term is CULTURE. Since the beginning of time culture has stolen, borrowed, mixed, and evolved with and along side everything it comes into contact with. It was never pure, original, or somehow beyond reproach. We're all just a bunch of turds in a dryer tumbling against everyone else's shit.

The Left doubling-down on Identity Politics. Bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for'em.

P.S., There was no intent to hurt/harm/inflict emotional and literally 500% cause physical pain by using the word "cotton" in the preceding, as the word may be a trigger.

@2:

That's true only because until fairly recently members of dominant cultures felt empowered to steal, borrow, and mix from less dominant cultures with impunity, with little or no regard, and least of all respect, for the people and cultures from whom they were appropriating these elements, and often against their explicit objections. Using the argument "it's okay because we've always done it" is a patently weak rationalization for continuing the practice.

Welcome to silo culture where we've given up on cultural fusion and ending segregation, and have basically embraced the notion of a society of cultural tribes that all hate each other living in their own neighborhoods, having their own cuisines and art forms, hoarding ideas and cultural values. I'd hate to say it, but the left has given up on internationalism and common brother/sisterhood, and that's pretty sad.

The face reaction shot is a great addition. More posts could use a "this was my face when..." insert! Hah

>600,000 people died in the Civil War so that some random SJW trustfund activist twats could write a pandering-ass play for leftist brownie points.

GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH!

@5:

Not in the least. You conflate cultural appropriation (or more correctly MISappropriation) with acculturation or simple appreciation. There's a big difference between celebrating the unique qualities of different cultures and exploiting those same elements in ways that are insensitive to or disrespectful of that culture. Nobody is going to complain about the former, but if a member of the culture whose elements you're utilizing perceives you're engaging in the latter, they have every right to call you out for it.

@7:

They also died so some random alt-right snowflake such as yourself could write a whiny-ass comment for your own onanistic gratification.

HIS TRUTH IS MARCHING ON...

@4
Well said. And let's not forget "make money hand over fist from..."

@10 and 4. Who's determining what cultures are powerful and which are weak? And is it wrong to steal from a less dominant culture, but not from a dominant one? What are the distinctions you're making here? When is it ok and when isn't it?

Please wait...
