Reminder: Nikkita Oliver has been in Seattle 10 years and has never bothered to vote for mayor.

"Who'd you pick for Seattle mayor? Damned if I can remember. Whatever The Stranger said." Well done, sir. Glad you put in the time and effort to research the candidates.
4
Nikkita Oliver's cozy relationship with the NBPP is troubling. My guess is these people voting for her are not even aware of this fact.
5
Oliver sure is drawing a number of sockpuppet trollery. I wonder why. . .
6
It will be interesting to see how this race turns out - if Oliver can get out the vote, she might make the finals. She's got a big base in SE Seattle, but what about West Seattle and the Northend?

Who'd you pick for Seattle mayor? Nikkita Oliver

Um.

I'm sure this is entirely legit, and yes, the whole "voter fraud" fuss is about voter suppression, but still... this is really not a good look, is it?

If you've recently moved, you can get replacement/provisional ballots from your county election department.

Surprised by the number of people who do not know who they voted for, or why they did.

At least they are voting, I guess.

@9

They know perfectly well who they voted for. "Oh, it's not important, I can't remember" is just how Seattleites say "fuck you, it's none of your goddamned business."

@10: Fair enough, I am unaware of that bit of local color.

Although, one wonders why they agreed to an interview and to have their picture taken and published if their attitude was "this is none of your business."

THE ENDORSEMENT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR

Kind of suspected it might come down to Oliver and Durkan. Almost impossible for me to vote for anyone who has ever been a prosecutor so I would most likely go for Oliver in the final vote. I'm wondering if anyone can explain how Oliver as mayor would be much different than Sawant as mayor though. Sawant is fine (more or less) as a contrarian rabble-rouser on the council but as mayor? Kind of worried that Oliver would be mostly interested in grandstanding about social justice issues and completely uninterested in fixing potholes (so to speak).

I love what Pete Lombardo said about why he voted for Durkan.
It is exactly why I did also.
A Mayor has to know how to handle a lot more than one or two issues. A couple of the candidates are not qualified in that respect.

Please wait...
