Didn't Creighton have say something about that long walk to the light rail at Seatac Airport? Just like Harvey Milk campaigned on cleaning dog poop out of the parks, Creighton should make a big deal about stuff like that.

I loved watching you, all smug in your Capitol Hill smugness, being p0wned by Peter Steinbreuck. It was so fun.

Port's going green, n00bz.

Next time I'll help one of the candidates more actively. This time I didn't.

What's so terrible about Peter Steinbreuck?
4
@3, He's an anti-progress lesser Seattlite: Opposed light rail, opposes densification of single family home neighborhoods, and opposes a street vacation for a privately financed SODO Arena project in the Port's backyard.

@2:

Who gives a flying fuck in a rolling donut what you do? How'd your boy McGinn make out last night?

@3 Unfortunately, the Stranger has neglected to explain that it both its endorsement and this article. Perhaps its endorsement would have carried more weight had there been a more serious effort to discuss why the Stranger believed Steinbreuck was not a good choice.

Most people ignored half of the SECB endorsements this year. It was the talk of all the Election Night parties, along with how the Seattle Times needs to stop insulting Seattle and make different Metro Seattle and Suburban editions if they want to survive.

@4 Steinbrueck isn't anti progress, so my much as anti wasting time/public money on boondoogles and pro preserving valuable things that connect Seattle to its history. You know, like Pike Place Market. Pike Place Market would have been demolished, had it not been for the Steinbrueck family. If more people had listened to Peter Steinbrueck, there would have never been "Big Bertha" but we would have done a surface street instead. Actually, "The Stranger" also advocated for a surface street but whatever... Now the Stranger wants some music writer who just moved here from NY to tell us how stupid we all are for voting for Steinbrueck, but I guess you'd call that "progress"
Listen, that person from Renton who the Stranger endorsed seems like a perfectly nice person whose heart is in the right place, but Peter Steinbrueck has just done more for the city and has a longer record of being is a better champion for an inclusive progressive and functioning livable city.

Please wait...
