I love it when folks take the time to corral up good info. Thanks Sydney.
2
yes, way to post a smear list of fear touting sycophants. nothing on the extensive intellectual foundations of the movement just knee-jerk reactionary responses. yes, that's what we need right now.

@2 Kiss my Jewish ass.

a single primary source from the alt-right would have made you seem a little impartial. instead you're wearing your ignorance and bias on your sleeve. but i guess that's your job at this fake news site.
6
Other than being mad that girls like video games what does the alt-right stand for?
8
@5 No source from white nationalists is legitimate or impartial.

no better source for knowledge about the alt-right, and knowledge in general, than the works of Plato, Darwin, Hegel, and Nietzsche. But, again, I guess intellectualism means nothing to your kind.

@9

Looks like someone is completely ignorant of the works of Nietzche. I'm guessing he takes a literalist approach with a smidge of 8th grade reading comprehension when picking up Geneology of Morals. Let me guess, The Will To Power is your favorite?

@11:

Most of these knobs never make it past "Atlas Shrugged". Oh sure, they've heard of Nietzsche & Hegel, but that's mainly from multiple viewings of old Monty Python sketches.

Not exactly a fun, summer reading list, Sydney, but a marvelous list nonetheless. I've already read some of these. Will check the rest out this week. Many thanks.

@11, @14 there is nothing more foreign to your liberal way of thinking than the greats of Western civilization. It is impossible to understand Nietzsche's late work without his connection between noble values and race consciousness. Look up his debate with the jewish biologist Paul Ree; while Nietzsche might not have been explicitly anti-Semitic, he clearly views monotheism as the core of modern degeneracy. He's speaking to westerners for the sake of saving western civilization - can't get more alt-right than that.

@18:

You make the same mistake as most of your ilk who have barely a superficial understanding of Nietzsche, who was as equally critical of Christianity, and even atheism, as he was of Judaism; a position that, like their German Nazi predecessors, the alt-right has perverted and corrupted for their own ends. The truth is, he openly denounced anti-Semitism, despite paltry attempts by interpreters of his work, such as Robert Holub, to find "coded messages" indicating otherwise.

As for his "speaking to westerners for the sake of saving western civilization," well, this is simply another muddled distortion of his philosophy co-opted by the alt-right. When Nietzsche said "God is dead" he meant that civilization needed to progress beyond the concepts embedded in Western European Christian belief, which could no longer be justified given the advancements of scientific thought and practice, and that we must face a world in which this core foundation of our highest values no longer exists; an implication those on the far right conveniently ignore. In short, he viewed reverting to primitive, tribal ethnocentrism as a step backward, not forward.

What is one side of an discourse without promoting both sides, including the foundational issues of "why an issue exists" for complete perspective:

How is "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William L. Shirer not on this reading list? It is the definitive history of how everything that we're seeing right now happended once before.

@18 - Nietzsche...clearly views monotheism as the core of modern degeneracy.

B-b-b-but Christianity is monotheist... are you saying "alt-righty" bigots have become poly-theistic??? Since ..last weekend? when all those soi-disant "Christian" KKKers were out in force?

Or are you arguing for a true poly-theistic society, where christian, muslims, jews, buddhists, hindus, pantheists, wiccans, bahai, zoroastrians, and more all live happily with each other? 'Cause that would be cool.

Hey Proud "Alt-Right" White Guy, since you say that "alt-right" (aka white supremacist) sources are missing from the list, why don't you post a few links to some good material that you have been reading recently?
Just saying "Plato" & "Nietzsche" is hardly sufficient... It ought to be something on par with the links provided, something a little more current. Something... since WWII.
I'll read it!

Please wait...
