(A notorious local landlord, meanwhile, is also threatening Sawant with a defamation suit after she called him a "slumlord.")

Washington State Patrol Will No Longer Advertise on Breitbart: Saying the department "does not believe some of the views on the website reflect the WSP’s value of a diverse workforce," the state patrol has blocked its recruiting ads from appearing on Breitbart, according to KING 5.

Mayoral Candidates Debate Tax on Nonresident Homebuyers: After yesterday's Seattle Times report that the city attorney and county assessor oppose a tax on people who buy homes in Seattle but don't live in them, mayoral candidates Cary Moon and Jenny Durkan are sparring over the idea.

City Getting Rid of Illegal Skate Park: "The Seattle Parks Department began deconstructing an illicit skateboarding bowl from Duck Island on Green Lake on Tuesday, more than a month after the city learned of its construction," KOMO reports. "The three-to four-day cleanup will cost around $33,000, according to the Parks Department."

After Shooting, City Plans Homeless Sweeps: After a shooting Tuesday morning at a homeless encampment on Spokane Street, the city announced plans to clear the camp after "intensive outreach."
