@1 that depends; what does the electorate look like in an off-year, low-turnout election? If history is any indication, we're gonna see about 9000 ballots returned in a city of 50,000, and most of those will be from the heavily right-leaning waterfront neighborhoods around Three Tree Point & Lake Burien.

But having this on the november ballot would be FAR FAR better than having it postponed for the legal challenge, have the challenge fail, and then head to the ballot in a February special election with even lower turnout.

No, there is no version of this where getting on the ballot is better. This thing needs to be killed in the courts. Giving the racists a platform is really bad for the community. There are plenty of liberals in the Three Tree Point neighborhood (lake Burien has fewer residents than a typical apt building) who prefer not to fight this out with our neighbors.
