Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson plans to sue Tacoma's Northwest Detention Center, the largest immigrant jail on the West Coast, according to a media release from his office. The detention center is operated by GEO Group, a Bill Gates-backed private prison company. Ferguson's lawsuit follows months of hunger strikes led by detainees at the detention center.
