#1 - Genes play a big role in psychopathy, but socialization and other environmental factors interact with genetics, so genes are not the only determining factor whether someone has psychopathic traits.
GOOD analysis, Charles. The "feel" around town feels like something is not quite right, like we're living a dream and are about to be woke up....hang on....
I guess Paddock's history of being aggressive and likely violent to his female partner didn't count for anything? Misogyny does seem to be a precursor to violence after all.
Where the fuck did they find an ad shop that clueless? It's bad enough that Dove/Unilever approved running the thing, but who fucking MADE it? Is there an advertising industry in northern Idaho? Did they think they were trolling by pitching that campaign?
The Interweb says Dove VisibleCare had a problematic campaign in 2011, too. Short institutional memory there, I guess.
@16: Remember the golden days on Wednesday mornings there would be editorial staff meetings and you would fill up Slog with puzzles for us to do while you all discussed business and refining your talents?
Thanks for bringing up the chickenshit information regarding Jenny Durken’s part in it.
She has some dirty laundry she wants hidden which includes providing a Grand Jury to interrogate dissidents and imprisoning them in a federal penitentiary.
Charles treats buying and selling like some kind of shameful backroom act. Like some Soviet workers-cult, he thinks there must be something corrupt or unsustainable if someone has a greater interest in selling a hotel than running one. But if that were true, we literally couldn't exchange anything. Anytime a business, a farm, a piece of equipment, or piece of property is sold would be evidence of a collapsing, bubble economy to Charles. But buying, literally, anything indicates it has more value to you than the person who holds it, and it's no stretch to think that someone could value a prime piece of Seattle real estate more than it's current owner.
SLS doesn't seem to have any other North Western hotels. There are lots of explanations for why they'd prefer to sell the property than open it. Like freeing up money for a hotel in a market they know something about, have some infrastructure in, or see more opportunity for.
And I don't know much about your mayor race, or really care. But this seems like a low blow on Durkan. You're essentially saying "She's bad, because as a US Attorney, she followed the law." You can not like Durkan for whatever reason you want of course. You can of course think that the US Attorney's office is poor preparation for being Mayor. But you're ascribing to her -personally- what was established by Congress and the judiciary. That doesn't seem rational. I don't get value from it.
@19, Durkan was unable to find any evidence of criminal wrongdoing at WAMU, but she sure as hell harshly lowered the boom on some protesters not convicted of or even charged with any crimes.

He’s also an incompetent, illegitimate traitor just like his bo$$.
You're absolutely right. Tdumbp and Dense are failures as leaders, failures as men, and failures as human beings overall.
They may have hopelessly flacid, itty bitty, tinky winkie, button hole-sized needle dicks, however that in and of itself shouldn't define them.

o_O
Every three years? WTF @Dove?
ahhhh....
