It's unfortunate, but frankly it's a shock that they've lasted as long as they have in a location where the rent must be through the roof.

The direct market is predatory as hell and needs to die. That they could keep going this long taking all of the risks for the publishers is something to be proud of, but may they be the first step in an evolution of the market away from it.

A key thing being payment is due on delivery of material to the retailer, no refunds if it doesn't sell.

I'll miss this store for the independent and small-run books that are sold by consignment. It's now about settling for hobby stores that happen to sell comic books on the side.
