Sports Courthouse News Service Is Reporting Allegations of Sexual Assault Against Star Sounders Player Nate Jaqua

According to reporting by Karina Brown:
PORTLAND, Ore. (CN) - A woman says Major League Soccer player Nate Jaqua sexually assaulted her when she was attending the University of Oregon on a soccer scholarship [in 2007]...At midnight, she headed home alone, but says Jaqua insisted on walking with her for several blocks.
That's when Jaqua attacked the plaintiff and "subjected her to a brutal, forcible sexual assault," the lawsuit claims. Jaqua allegedly penetrated her vagina and anus with his fingers and penis, and then ejaculated and urinated on her.
The plaintiff says she had to quit the soccer team because of her memories, is afraid to be alone and is scared of men.
Can't find any original reporting on this anywhere else—just pieces linking to the Courthouse News Service (not a news outlet I'm familiar with). I have a request in with the Sounders for a comment on the allegations.

In 2007? If she didn't press charges then, why is she coming forward now? If you are going to press charges for a rape you have to do it IMMEDIATELY, while the evidence is still fresh. As it is, it is now her word against his, and therefore she has no chance of securing a conviction. Keeping quiet at first and then coming forward years later is just plain idiotic, and in this case the fact that she's demanding $10 million? I call bullshit. She just wants money and is hoping he pays up quick to shut her up before she does any more damage to his reputation.

From the very first game I got a really bad vibe from Jaqua and I have been telling everybody who will listen that he is a chump. I wonder if I have a gift for this.
