MJ's death ruled a homicide, says the PI:

A law enforcement official

tells The Associated Press that the Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide.

The finding makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed against the doctor who was with the pop star when he died.

Actually the coroner ruled the death as a homicide, not murder. All murders are homicide but not all homicide is murder, legally. The most they could hope to file against this doctor would be manslaughter.

It's really such a shame he had to die such an untimely death - because he would have loved those pink panties Dan posted about earlier.

@1 - My understanding of California law is that the doctor could be charged with 2nd degree murder if the state claimed he showed willful disregard for medical standards and the safety and well being of his patient. Manslaughter if he only showed negligence.

I hope that when I die, I'm well-liked enough that police will dig and dig and dig and dig and dig until they find some minor lead tenuous enough to accuse someone of MURDER, just so they can have some person to blame for my death instead of my wildly self-destructive lifestyle.
