Liberal idiots [redundancy] don’t seem to understand our objection to having obama speak to the children. Recently some liberal Hollywood airheads put together a propaganda piece for children where they pledged allegiance to obama, not the country. This is what children living in Cuba, North Korea or the former Soviet Union were/are subjected to. Here in America we don’t worship president’s that come and go, that’s for toadies, sycophants and serfs. Democrats routinely pervert the minds of young children in public schools with homosexual propaganda, anti-religious propaganda and anti-Republican propaganda.

I've got two different takes on the speech, and I'm not sure which is correct.

1. The speech was originally going to be more controversial, as indicated by the Dept. of Education's suggestion of a writing assignment on how students "can help the President". The speech was changed after the backlash.

or

2. The speech was always planned to be the same old innocuous stuff adults have been telling kids all along, and in the face of declining polls the President just wanted a positive photo op (video op?) to boost his ratings.

The intent of this is seriously demented and intended to damage the young ones’ self-esteem, long-term, should they, after discussing what they write with their parents, decide that they wrote in haste. I think this is monstrous!

Make our nation more fair and free?

Sure, "spreading the wealth" until every one has as much of the same does that wonderfully. Like in many impoverished third-world countries, every one can have the same amount of dirt and disease for free, and that's fair.

Did he ever mention that if you work hard you can have more than other people, especially more than those on government handouts? Would Michael Jordan have worked so hard for just a pat on the back and the gratitude of The Party? Somehow such a "capitalist" message is getting lost, I wonder why.
