What Are the Odds?

Posted by on Wed, Sep 9, 2009 at 8:21 AM

So the powerful California elected official didn't realize he was wearing a live mic as he shared the details of not one extramarital affair...

"She wears little eye-patch underwear," said Duvall, who is married with two children. "So, the other day she came here with her underwear, Thursday. And so, we had made love Wednesday—a lot! And so she'll, she's all, 'I am going up and down the stairs, and you're dripping out of me!' So messy!" … "So, I am getting into spanking her. Yeah, I like it. I like spanking her. She goes, 'I know you like spanking me.' I said, 'Yeah! Because you're such a bad girl!'"

...but two extramarital affairs:

"Oh, yeah, Sher, Shar, Shar," Duvall said. "Oh, she is hot! I talked to her yesterday. She goes, 'So are we finished?' I go, 'No, we're not finished.' I go, 'You know about the other one [Barsuglia], but she doesn't know about you!'"

The spanker whose spunk is leaking out of Mistress #1 opposes gay marriage, is a defender of the traditional family ("he has voted time and time again to protect and preserve family values in California," according to a conservative group), and one of the women he's cheating with is a lobbyist with business before the California legislature. Quick! Can you guess?!? Is he a Republican or a Democrat? No peeking!

UPDATE: A television news report—with even more scandalous details—after the jump...

Orange County, CA says is all, love. It's the same place it was when Milk came to debate. Although, it is the home of Fender Guitars.

See? Gay marriage was only legal for like a minute in California, and that's all it took to transform this church-going family man into a philanderer.

Oh, I don't know, I've been known to spank the occasional cute young thing. But you won't catch me spouting off about family values, either.

@6, just get elected to something and work your way up. For straights, the will to power and easy sneaky sex go together as easily as do, on the gay side, the matching outfits of Jamie Pedersen and his husband and their kids.

Well, if you're asking his party, it makes me think he's a democrat, but you're sneaky Dan! Maybe you just want to trick me. Unless, you know I'd realize your devious ways, and so your trying to make me think that you're trying to fool me into thinking you're fooling me. But then, that's just what you'd want me to think, isn't it! ISN'T IT!!!!.

Repulsive repubican, so what's new? The man belongs on a home for the aging along with tap dance Larry lol. Men regardless of their age are such braggers tho, that always prove to be their downfall.

These uplifting little ditties Dan loves to post are always so enlightening.
Because no one realized before that people cheat and lie and are hypocrites. That's news to us.
And while we may have been inclined to believe stable families were good for society, once we realize that some lying scum politicians pay lip service to family values but cheat, naturally, we think; "the Hell with the family, where can I get some of that action?!"
Because if some politicians are lying hypocrites then it naturally follows that the whole idea of fidelity and devotion and commitment are just hooey and bunk.
And since marriage is obviously irrelevant and broken anyway, well, we might as well let homosexuals marry- I mean, it's not like they can mess it up anymore than it already is, right?

Good gawd! Republicans are so stupid and gross! I mean, Dems at least don't pretend to be all fucking holier than thou when they are caught fucking around. But this is sleazy and incredibly stupid, even for a Republican.

Let us count the ways in which this guy is a total moron:
1. He is a politician who had an affair
2. With a lobbyist
3. Who worked for an energy company (when he was vice chair of the Utilities & Commerce Committee)
4. And then he had a second affair
5. And then he bragged about his conquests
6. To a colleague
7. Right before a televised committee hearing
8. While his microphone was live.

And that doesn't even consider his "family values" stances.

If you set your standards low enough you will seldom disappoint yourself.
If you strive for nothing you will often achieve your goal.
If you don't think adultery is a big deal then a blow job under the desk in the Oval Office is really nothing, is it.
And if you have a relationship with a 17 year old, well, it's really just a number; isn't it.

@16: it is underwear made from an eyepatch. It is typically worn with a parrot on the shoulder and a prosthetic leg.

The annoying thing about this is that most in Orange County won't see any hypocrisy. Their response will be the same response they always give when offered proof of Republican wrongdoing: "Oh, they all do that!"

Dan, from now onward corporate lobbyists can simply be refered to as whores. Like the "Directors of so-and-so" are refered to as czars. And I'd like to know who the intended recipient of this story was. You'd only brag this way to someone with similiar proclivities.

I hate to say it, folks, but I can understand no more than a few words of that whole recording. He could be talking about anything. How this will bring him down I have no idea. And maybe "eye-patch underwear" only covers "the brown eye"?

I love the irony that this family values promoting dipshit just destroyed at least three families with a few sentences caught on tape. Realistically, how many families could my marriage to my same-sex partner ever affect?
