The Lost Symbol Is "$"

Posted by on Wed, Sep 16, 2009 at 11:36 AM

The New York Times says that Dan Brown's book has become Barnes & Noble's best-selling single-day adult title, which means that it has not toppled the mighty Rowling from her throne. The Lost Symbol is now at the top of Amazon's print and Kindle bestseller lists, and it will keep selling for quite some time.

I'm about halfway through it. Thus far, it is better than The DaVinci Code. Take that however you want.

Better than The DaVinci Code? So instead of ass wipe I'll want to use it as a cum rag?

As someone who used to work in books, I mostly felt sympathy for booksellers yesterday. It must have been a long exhausting day in the trenches.

I was surprised to find out that the Freemasons put the Lost Symbol in Fremont and that the Troll was the Gatekeeper.

Fascinating book.

@2 Actually, I was on register for three hours and only one person purchased the book. Nay, they picked up their pre-order. Then again, we didn't discount our price, so people must have been buying it elsewhere.

I finished it last night. Trust me, the book finishes off worse than the Lord of the Rings movies. It's always disheartening to see a good author go bad. It's not surprising to see a bad author go horrible.
