The fate of Mr. Tait, The Happy Horseman, the man who drove Mr. Hands, Kenneth Pinyan, to the hospital after he had sex with the last horse in his life?

A former Washington state man who was convicted of trespassing at a Enumclaw farm where a man suffered fatal injuries while having sex with a horse in 2005 is now accused of sex crimes with animals at a Tennessee farm.

James Tait, 58, was arrested and charged Thursday with three counts of felony animal cruelty.

Here The Happy Horseman speaks at the six-minute mark of Zoo:

The real problem is our need to jail everybody for everything. We need to start emptying our jails, not keep filling them with people who are harmless to other people. And I don't believe sex with animals is "animal cruelty". Eating them, skinning them, and corporate farms are the real cruelty and we all are responsible to some degree for those things. This is more about the ick factor.

@4, it's also about consent to sexual activity. Animals, corpses, and children cannot consent (on top of the ick factor)

Really, Vince, you ass? Even though having sex with animal kills many of the smaller animals that people use? That's not cruel?

I watched all, what, 72 parts? And they never actually come right out and SPELL OUT THE ISSUE. It's artfully danced around for over an hour.

Crap film.

@4 So the concept of consent means nothing to you?

If the horse is thrusting too hard while f*cking you, how do you get him to ease off? Pull his reins? Shout "Whoa!" Tap your foot?

And no, I will never need the information, just curious.

I didn't even need to read about this.

#8 Consent? When animals have sex with each other, do we ask if they give consent? Rape is a crime against people. Why? Because of it's obvious harm to other people and society. If a horse shows it's consent, and they do, would you then say it's okay? No human has sex organs that even come close to the size of these animals.
And you see entertainers on t.v. sticking their arms into horses and cows all the time. This is really more about what a society of blue nosed prigs we are. People have been having sex with animals for thousands of years. Just because you don't like it, that doesn't mean we should harm the lives of real live people by jailing them. That's cruelty to people. Something which we too often don't have a problem with.

Charles, I've not seen the movie yet (didn't know about it until just now), but I just watched this section and it looks fucking gorgeous. Who was the cinematographer, and what did you shoot on?

@11 There is a significant difference between an animal being physically aroused and being able to give consent. No animal is able to give consent. Men who are victims of rape sometimes experience erections during the incident, but that doesn't mean they consented to the act.

Just sayin'
