Alcoholism is a disease. If in fact this is alcoholism we're seeing in this video. The asshole taking this video should of helped this guy not have been more interested in getting it on video. The new fad of posting these videos of drunks is as bad as posting those dumb ass bums fighting videos. It's only exploiting people's misery and privacy.

Nobody does drunk like the Russians. Or complete indifference to drunks.

I think this guy and the convenience store guy in the other video aren't drunk. They look more like they're coming out of a k-hole.

#2 - "should have". Not "should of".

@6: Thank you. Nothing betrays basic ignorance of the language quite like the use of "of" for "have."

This whole "look at the funny drunk!" internet meme going around right now does nothing for me. These fucking people are pathetic. I hate to sound like a killjoy, but really, why are we laughing at this? Some dumb asshole and/or addict drinks himself half to death, stumbles around like a moron, makes a public nuisance out of himself, and this is supposed to be amusing? What's next? LOLing as we watch smack addicts convulse on flophouse floors?

Sorry to sound like a jerk, but we all need to raise our fucking standards a tad.

When I was living in Wales, where everyone drinks like fucking fish, I passed a guy who was staggering around like that on my way home one night. I stopped and asked him if he needed help and he said that he was diabetic and was having a problem relating to his condition, and if I could help him home he'd be fine. I carried him several blocks to his flat. He didn't smell of booze or anything else. I am inclined to believe that he was genuinely sick and may have had a real problem on his hands if I hadn't stumbled across him.

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither, and not everyone who's staggering down the sidewalk, falling down and walking into things, is a drunk. Sometimes they're sick people who need help.

Instead of taking video, why didn't the guy walk over to the drunk and take whatever was in that bag, as well as his wallet? It's not like he'd be able to chase him down or ID him.

Alcoholism is a choice before it's a disease. If you choose to be a staggering buffoon, well, that's your business, but when you're stumbling in the street you're a traffic hazard, and that's not cool. A little ridicule of these idiots is OK by me.

It's not about whether alcoholism is a choice or a disease. It's about whether people whose lives are clearly fucked already are funny or not. Argue all you want, you're still acting like a jackass bully who feeds on people weaker than themselves.

I felt sad watching this video, knowing that would have probably been me at some point in the future if people who cared about me didn't step in and help me out. I know a lot of people can manage alcohol just fine. I couldn't and was miserable for it. I feel bad for this guy. He's obviously in a horrible spot and I wish someone would've helped him out at some point in his life. Maybe they did and he denied it. The present outcome this video depicts is sad none the less.

obviously alcoholism is unhealthy, & often deadly. but whether or not it's a moral failure is entirely open to debate. And that's what the argument for this video's legitness hangs its hat on. But as comedy? Making fun of losers is what jocks do, and jocks ain't funny.

Does he throw up at 2:19, or is that his arm slapping down on the road?
