A Prayer For Mallahan?!

Posted by on Tue, Nov 3, 2009 at 8:47 PM

Right now Joe Mallahan has the entire room full of sweating supporters PRAYING for the murdered police officer. (I'm the only one typing/not praying.) AT LEAST TWO FULL MINUTES OF SILENCE HAVE GONE BY. And now he said AMEN! And everybody screamed AMEN, too. Except me.

Weird.

Was this really necessary?

Look, I'm a crazy liberal city dwelling Seattle 20-something who's not all that keen on organized religion, but what's wrong with them praying for a fallen police officer?

smh

It's a "nice" thought on his part, but I LOL'd at your post.

I just really want to be in a room of praying conservatives while mystery (perhaps gay?) slogger is typing on his/her laptop. Priceless.

That's hilarious, the only person not praying is the one that found the internet. :p

Mallahan is a conservative Catholic whose only civic experience is a fundraiser (Wallingford Wurst Fest) for a conservative Catholic church that hosts anti-abortion groups and Ken Hutcherson speeches. He used to work for Slade Gorton.

Why didn't you report on this?

What are they praying for? Why don't they do something useful, like pass around a plate for donations to families of murdered cops or something?

Praying?

Praying is a waste of time... why not just spin in circles for two minutes? The exact same outcome will occur (i.e., nothing).

I'm with you. It's never about the issue they're praying about, it's that they are PRAYING. I always stand around awkwardly, waiting for it to end.
