Feeling a little better, but I'd still like us to get over 50% like we were on election night.
Maybe the 10pm update will bring an even wider margin. *fingers crossed*

If the election were over today, we'd be out of recount range. It will be interesting to see how the next few vote dumps come out. If things don't improve soon, Joe is sunk.

this takes things out of the auto recount zone for now as you need <2000 vote diff AND <.5% diff

woohoo!

@6 still winning handily but the vote gap between 1033 and 71 total ballots in King County is worrisome.

oh, by the way ... RANDOM DANCING!!!

Wooohooo!

Mallahan wouldn't make a bad mayor, but hearing him speak always reminds me of bad corporate motivational speakers (are there good ones?). System... principle pillars... system... principle pillars. Gah, shut up, please shut up.

also, I think Rob Holland's lead tightened for Port.

It's probably mostly King County, but the state numbers for 71 have bumped up a bit.

To put it into perspective, to close the deal, Mallahan needs to hit 60%+ of the remaining votes to make up the deficit, but the trend is not in his favor. He did not have the ground game or the last minute GOTV McGinn had.

Those 4,700 would still require him to hit 55%+, but again, the trends were never in his favor. He only had one day where he was up over 50%, and that was barely.

@16 Let's also keep in mind that the 4700 number includes all of King County, not just Seattle.

Also, we are way out of recount range now. If Mallahan wants a recount, it will cost him 15 cents per ballot.

@14 whoa! That seals it. Where's Mallahan's concession?
