And we're getting there, slowly but surely.

It sounds like a bad Letterman joke: "The U.S. economy is so bad, Mexican immigrants aren't wiring dollars south—their families are wiring pesos north."

Except it's true.

Good economy = more immigration, bad economy = less immigration. Law enforcement has almost nothing to do with it. Facts is facts.

But have fun with your immigrant-sweep circus, Sheriff Joe. You've already been exposed as a clown.

Ah, so that was the Republican party's strategy all along - crash the U.S. economy and solve the "immigration problem".

Not only has illegal immigration decreased, but a fair number of the illegals who are already here have said "fuck it" and gone back to Mexico.

Did you even read that article Brendan? It gave one anecdotal story of money coming north and another about some small bank in a town no one has ever heard of. The rest of the story talked of a decrease in money being sent south and how that is negatively affecting Mexico. I would bet both my balls that more money still goes to Mexico than comes from it.

It's almost like you twisted the story to fit your post.

I like illegals...they work hard and are cheap. I had a couple digging a hole for me last week. $10/hr cash. Maybe we could send our bums to Mexico and have them send us some more hard working people?

JF is right! I also take issue with calling Joe a clown. I've seen him. No humorously oversized shoes. No red squeeky nose. No lapel flower that squirts water. How about some fact-checking!
