Clearly, The Oregonian has the most interesting story of the day; clearly, The Seattle Times has the most boring story of the day. As for that baby in The Vancouver Sun, something is not right with it. If I were superstitious, and not rational and materialistic, I would read on that baby's face a future that's not very promising.

Because, hey, boobies.

On the other hand, if the flooding on the cover of the times were in a Black neighborhood, it would suddenly be much more interesting. Or, if it were in a neighborhood full of cheerleaders.

The Bellevue Blog(a Seattle Times joint) probably disappointed at least a few pervy suburban dads when they went with this pic:

for the Brewing Bikini Barista Bash.

Once while playing in the band at a H.S. football game, someone chucked a taffy apple core into the bell of my baritone horn. I am using this comments thread to raise awareness.

& also, maybe the person who threw the water bottle was just defending the crowd from the gyrating oompa-loompas on the field;

or are those hunter orange bodysuits?

Is it because the baby is white, Charles?

Charles hates children. Charles loves boobs. Charles is uninterested in the practical. Wash, rinse, repeat.

@8 Are you telling me that buying a house in a flood plain is a bad idea? Why do you hate freedom?

I mean, yeah, the cheerleader aspect of it was funny, but, the video of the Arizona fans is a little crazy. The fans were booing and pelting the Oregon players with bottles. I've been to a lot of college football games and I don't think I've seen anything quite that bad, at least from that many fans.

Is the first one really a story? Is there an in depth report on it? Did you want to read more? Is America’s Funniest Home Videos the funniest show ever to you?

I always choose the paper with pics of diverse neighborhood cheerleaders who rescue babies.

Pure solipsism must make the world so frustrating. You neither live nor work in the Green River Valley, so what does or does not happen there is dull to you, and by extension, everyone.

On the other hand, pretty much everyone stares at boobs.

that oregon cheerleader looks a little weather beaten.

"a future that's not very promising."

That's certainly a topic you know something about.
