Just got a press release from Mayor-elect McGinn spokesman Aaron Pickus:

SEATTLE — Mayor-elect McGinn today announced the members of the Police Chief Search Committee. The search committee will hold an organizational meeting on January 13th. A recommendation is expected to the mayor by May.

As previously announced, the co-chairs of the search committee are Downtown Seattle Association President Kate Joncas and Charles Rolland, board president for Community and Parents for Public Schools of Seattle.

The following table is a list of all committee members:

The list, which includes real estate developers, business organizations, the Seattle Police Officers Guild, and immigration rights groups, is after the jump. There are some names I'm very glad to see here, especially Tina Bueche, who is the closest thing to a heart and soul that Pioneer Square has. Hopefully, she'll be able to make Pioneer Square a priority for the incoming chief. But it's good to see groups like Mothers for Police Accountability and the ACLU represented, too. And, um, the Seattle Storm and Mount Zion Church.
