Who Doesn't Want Drawings of Syphilitic Genitalia With Their Dinner?

Posted by on Wed, Jan 6, 2010 at 1:15 PM

I love it when the ranks of Seattle artists grow not only larger, but weirder. Amanda Manitach's syphilitic genitalia, hysterical attacks, beaded lambs' tongues, and her background speaking in tongues, here.

Amanda Manitach draws like an angel, albeit a very dark one. Plus she is a brilliant writer. Bookmark her for sure!

Jen, you kinda made my head explode. (The video of the beaded lamb's tongue will be with me for the rest of the day.) Totally fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

@1 - For real!!

My favorite part about all this is that I don't think anyone (except for a handful of people) really knew what the beautiful thing they were looking at was.

That girl draws, writes, talks like nobody's business. I can't wait to see what more she does this year!

Amanda's work is beautiful, fascinating, and has a sense of honesty about it that I find refreshing.
