Paid Content reports that the magazine industry is about to roll out a 90 million dollar ad campaign about why magazines are better than the internet.

One ad says: “The Internet is fleeting. Magazines are immersive.” Another one, to run in ESPN (NYSE: DIS) magazine, features Michael Phelps, with the headline “We surf the Internet. We swim in magazines.”

Rolling Stone's Jann Wenner is spearheading this campaign, which would totally work as an Onion story without much exaggeration.
