1. Oh, there he is! After Newt Gingrich disappeared from the campaign trail, Politico went in search of him. Turns out, he's on a luxury cruise ship somewhere around Greece. Here's my favorite part of this story: "Gingrich spokesman Rick Tyler emailed, 'αριθ. Σχ?λιο,' which is Greek for 'no comment.'"

2. Expect to see a heavily packaged Michele Bachmann in upcoming campaign appearances. According to former-Huckabee-man-cum-senior-Bachmann-strategist Ed Rollins, from now on Bachmann will "have a good team around her and we'll basically make sure that everything is 100 percent fact checked." This means more tightly controlled media events in the hope of reining in Bachmann's dumb flappy lips. Good luck with that, chief.

3. Conservative fiscal group Club for Growth detests Mitt Romney, accusing him of flip-flopping and hiding behind big government solutions. They grudgingly admit at the end of their paper that Romney would be better than Obama, but that's not much of an endorsement coming from the Club.

4. Herman Cain says more black people don't show up at tea parties because black people are poor and can't take time off from work:

"Anecdotally, I happen to believe that at least a third of blacks who vote are conservative," Cain said. "But the left has intimidation tactics that cause some people who may not be as outspoken as I am to stay silent."
