Sean McElroy, grabber of the attention.
  • Sean McElroy, grabber of the attention.
The only graduate students in art who have a public showing every spring are at UW, and you still have five days to see their work at the Henry.

Each student has precious little work up, so it feels reckless to actually review their prospects, but there are a few whose leavings make me curious: Matt Hilger (wry and post-medium?), Sean McElroy (painterly and neo-'80s-dudeism?), and Neal Fryett (quiet and formal?) I could be completely overlooking greatness here, so please friend me on Facebook and visit "Pictures of Art I Saw Today Vol. 18" to see three dozen-plus images from other students for you to consider considering. (It's an attenuated business, this.)
