The sky is opening up. The mountain is coming out. We may not actually talk about Rainier much, but living in Seattle means conducting a private love affair with a stratovolcano. Kristina Hagman shares 36 love letters to it, in the Japanese views-of-Fuji woodblock tradition, at Cullom Gallery through June 30. Some of them are almost documentary—here, really, is what Rainier looks like from Alki or Seward Park or Rainier Avenue—while others just throb and glow, with names like Warm Big Rainier and Winter.
