According to a new study, lab-grown, artificial meat could dramatically cut greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional livestock production. Or, you know, we could all just eat less meat.

That's what I do. I'm not a vegetarian or anything, and I'm hardly radical in my eating habits, but I probably eat less than a quarter of the animal protein found in the typical American diet, and I don't miss it. Imagine the positive environmental impact if all Westerners slashed their meat consumption. And we'd all be healthier to boot.

Or... we could let science solve all our environmental and food production problems by shifting to lab-grown artificial meat. Mmmm... tasty.
