Via First Read, here's a Mitt Romney ad:

And here's a DNC ad...

Mitt Romney's camp continues to put out great ads—Democrats need to step up if they're going to compete with them. The DNC ad focuses on Romney's flip-flop, which is notable, but they're fighting in unfriendly territory, here. Technically, the point they're making is correct, but their nitpicking feels callow, considering that the economy is still hurting in a big way. Compare their ad with the Romney ad, which effectively communicates the story of an entire town that he argues was let down by the president, and the DNC feels remarkably out of touch. They need to work on changing the message and getting Romney away from the economy, because almost all of his ads—except for this one—are home runs.
