Of course the headline is rhetorical. What attorney general and GOP gubernatorial wannabe Rob McKenna is so afraid of is letting the public hear what he tells his fellow Republicans in private. And that's why McKenna personally demanded that a Democratic tracker turn off his video camera, and then stood by silently as event organizers called the police in an effort to have the cameraman arrested.

McKenna, by the way, is routinely lauded by the press (and himself) as a champion of open government.

Yeah sure, the whole video tracking thing is political, and it's not to McKenna's advantage to be caught on tape pandering to Tea Baggers or spewing bullshit statistics. But that's too bad. If McKenna can't win election by letting all voters see and hear what he tells his most stalwart supporters, then he doesn't deserve to be governor.
