OSLO, Norway - Police announced Monday that they had dramatically overcounted the number of people slain in a shooting spree at a political youth group's island retreat and were lowering the confirmed death toll from 86 to 68.It's the only good news to come out of this. It's like 18 souls returned to us from the land of the dead. As for Breivik's father:The overall toll in the attack now stands at 76 instead of 93 - still one of the worst modern mass murders in peacetime.
The father of accused Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik said Monday he wishes his son had killed himself.No, I'm glad he did not kill himself. That might have been good for the father, but not so good for the society. We need to live with him, and know he is very real, very human. His life makes what he stands for, the things he believes in, and the crimes he committed present to all.

Anders Breivik has been on a Norwegian security service watch list since March according to reports in the country.My guess is if he was an Arab, the secret service would have done a little bit more than place him on a list of people to watch now and then.Newspaper VG Nett reports that the killer was put on a list after reportedly buying large amounts of fertiliser from an online shop in Poland.
