The Long Walk—a 40-mile, 3-day journey on foot I took part in last year; I wrote this about it—is underway again, led by artist Susan Robb. It is a trek from the city to Snoqualmie Falls, through the awkwardly exurban areas in between.

They left yesterday morning from Golden Gardens, and they're posting photos here. Last year, we were a self-contained unit. But this year you can join the walkers at their halfway point, for Midpoint Mash-Up in a park in Duvall, including sound performances by the Seattle Phonographers Union. If you see them on the road, look at them funny. They find that amusing.
