Yes, Mayor Mike McGinn has been obsessing about things other than the downtown tunnel for some time. But truth doesn't matter as much as perception in politics, and the perception is that McGinn has so far spent his entire term in a failed bid to block a project that a strong majority of Seattle voters just said they support.

So McGinn needs to find a way—fast—to demonstrate that he has some big, positive program he's pushing. Something his mayorality is about rather than opposed to.

He'll say he already has a bunch of positive programs he's pushing. But he doesn't, really, because who can name them? So help a mayor out: What should McGinn focus on now?
