Obviously he has no idea that this printing of money is a monetarist response to an economic crisis. This is not some obscure economic doctrine. This is mainstream Milton Friedman. And Friedman's policy prescriptions and GOP's political agenda are supposed to fit like a hand in a glove. The proper Keynesian (center-left) response to a crisis is to stimulate the economy. By the way, Obama did not invent the "stimulus package." George Bush did. His stimulus was in a response to 9/11 and cost nearly $200 billion. When announced and implemented, Friedman (he died in 2006) complained that "crude Keynesianism has risen from the dead."
