Last night, Rick Santorum finally followed through with his promise to personally visit each of Iowa's 99 counties before the January caucuses:

“We crossed the finish line. I feel great. I've had such a wonderful time visiting all the counties here and seeing all the small towns and the town squares and the diners and you know just the wonderful fabric of Iowa,” Santorum, who made visiting every county in the state one of his campaign pledges, said. “It's been a great and energizing experience for me.”

That's great. How great for him! This is probably a game-changer; I bet Santorum will rocket to the top of the polls, now. Right?

Despite what a milestone this would be for any campaign, there was just one video camera, one still camera, and one local print reporter who attended the event

That sounds like just about the right amount of press coverage. Santorum's like the nerdy kid in elementary school who wonders why everyone hates him, even though he gets every extra credit question right on every single test.
