At 3:30 p.m. today, Occupy Seattle started their planned march in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street. In advance of that march, there were 24 bike cops lining Pine Street opposite Occupy Seattle's encampment at Seattle Central Community College at 3:00 p.m., looking braced for trouble. I counted 12 cans of pepper spray (as opposed to "bear mace," as one Occupier claimed) and police were not wearing riot gear (as another Occupier claimed), just bike helmets and thick jackets, as per usual.

Occupiers are planning to march downtown—starting nowish—but the man I spoke to at the information tent wanted to keep the details of their destination quiet so police wouldn't find out.
