The map. The reason for the map.

MORE Chinese people live outside mainland China than French people live in France, with some to be found in almost every country. Some 22m ethnic Indians are scattered across every continent. Diasporas have been a part of the world for millennia. But today their size (if migrants were a nation, they would be the world’s fifth-largest) and the ease of staying in touch with those at home are making them matter much more.
Europe is, of course, not a player in this particular movement of people. Continental Europe is almost out of the picture.

Speaking of migrants:

A Kuwaiti citizen has been allegedly blamed for beating his housemaid to death. The Kuwaiti has been held for the alleged crime. According to sources, the man has confessed to having committed the crime.

Sources report that the Kuwaiti has confessed that he “brutally beat up” his housemaid for seven days, as she refused to continue working for him. According to sources, the accused had hired the Ethiopian housemaid to work on probationary basis in his house. The victim was hired from a recruitment firm located in Hawally. Sources state that, during the training period, as the victim experienced difficulties in providing satisfactory work for her sponsor, he decided to return her to the domestic labor office.

It seems the Kuwaiti man had no problem confessing this crime.

Speaking of Kuwait:

Dozens of Kuwaiti protesters stormed parliament late on Wednesday, as hundreds more demonstrated outside.

Eyewitnesses said they were demanding that Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah step down.

Hundreds of people, including opposition lawmakers, have been protesting weekly outside parliament over alleged corruption.

Some reports said riot police had beaten demonstrators using batons as they gathered outside parliament.

...Kuwait has not seen the mass protests that toppled former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Tunisia's Zine al-Abedine Ben Ali, thanks to a generous welfare system, observers say.
