Yesterday, after meeting with Seattle Central Community College officials, Occupy Seattle was given its 72-hour notice to vacate the campus. Now, students from SCCC are planning on forming a "solidarity circle" around the Occupy Seattle camp on Friday at 2:30 p.m., as protesters dismantle their tents and prepare to leave.

via their Facebook notice:

Occupy has helped inspire SCCC professors to organize teach-ins, lead class discussions, and has helped in planning the protests at Olympia that many students attended. Many people who are active with Occupy go to our school, and many more are giving a voice to budget cuts in our state that will affect us as students. Whether or not you think Occupy should camp on school property, the fact remains that the movement has proved to be an invaluable catalyst for the spread of knowledge.

As an expression of solidarity with the Occupy movement, and as an invitation for Occupy to continue to hold rallies, begin marches, and exchange ideas, there will be a Solidarity Circle on Friday, December 9, at 2:30. As we as students join together in hands around the Occupy encampment, we will express our gratitude for what Occupy has done for our campus, their plan for future change, and a warm invitation to return to our campus.

It's unclear at this point where Occupy campers are planning to relocate—there is still a small contingent of campers Occupying City Hall, and sources say other sites have been suggested, including both public and private properties. Any protesters camping on school grounds after Friday can be cited for trespassing.
