More Ties Between Ron Paul and White Supremacists Are Cropping Up All the Time

Posted by on Thu, Feb 2, 2012 at 4:19 PM

I admit it: Ron Paul has become such a docile figure in the 2012 Republican campaign that I kind of stopped paying attention to him for a while there. When he announced he was only going to focus on caucus states, that was pretty much the end of his national relevance. But luckily, Slog tipper David has been keeping tabs on Ron Paul for us, because shit just got incredibly interesting. Daily Kos just linked to a NewsOne story about how....oh, man, this is just too good...Ron Paul was tied to a group of white supremacists who wanted to violently overthrow a small Caribbean nation so that they could create a libertarian white supremacist island paradise:

In 1981, a lawyer tried to subpoena Ron Paul to testify in the trial of Don Black, a Grand Wizard for the Ku Klux Klan who would later go on to found the white supremacist, neo-Nazi website, Stormfront. Black was charged along with two other Klansmen with planning to violently overthrow the small Caribbean country of Dominica in what they called “Operation Red Dog.”...In 1981 a group of American and Canadian white supremacists lead by Klansman and mercenary, Michael (Mike) Perdue planned on taking over a small West Indian country called Dominica by overthrowing the government and Prime Minister Eugenia Charles and restoring its previous prime minister, Patrick Johns into power. The group planned to create an Aryan paradise in Dominica and make money through casinos, cocaine and brothels.

Possibly even better than this story? Hacking group Anonymous has announced that they have uncovered close recent ties between Ron Paul's presidential campaign and a white supremacist group called American Third Position:

Fellow anons: we are pleased to bring you the dismantling of a major US-based white supremacist network known as the “American Third Position”(A3P). These racist losers have chapters across the US, operate several white power websites, forums and online stores, and are even running a candidate in the 2012 elections…In addition to finding the usual racist rants and interactions with other white power groups, we also found a disturbingly high amount of members who are also involved in campaigning for Ron Paul. According to these messages, Ron Paul has regularly met with many A3P members, even engaging in conference calls with their board of directors.

Go read Anonymous's announcement; it includes more information about A3P ties to neo-Nazi groups, Scientology, and much more. And don't forget to ask the ardent Ron Paul supporter in your life about these stories! We should build an online database of lame Ron Paul supporter excuses for Ron Paul's obvious white supremacist ties. It would be a world-class monument to delusion.

@1, I sure hope English is your second language. If not, stay in school.

@2, there are enough Paultards on Slog that I'm sure we'll get some of the flavor here.

I love the link for the Dominica story:
"NewsOne for Black America, Part of the Black Planet Universe"
Guess that means Black Pride good, White Pride bad.

The links between Ron Paul and Don Black were already known, but the evidence keeps mounting.

While I appreciate all the work and effort from the Anonymous crew, all one need know is that Paul both supported and sponsored that "Truth in Employment Act" -- which fizzled, on several occasions.

Now that's what being a Nazi is all about: anti-worker as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if both Ron and Mitch Daniels had some very secret and exclusive collections.

(I believe Svartalf is required to handle these Third Reichers....)

I heard form this guy who knows this other guy who wants to remain completely anonymous that Paul Constant like to rape and eat babies...not necessarily in that order. Now which hacky website wants to run with this hot scoop?!?

See how easy it is to lie...hopefully.

And what about this inflamatory, racist statement?:--"White people in Seattle are more likely to own rather than rent. White people are more likely to have health insurance and a job. White people are more likely to live longer. White people are less likely to be homeless. White people are less likely to hit the poverty level. White people are less likely to be in jail."

Do you know what racist newsletter that was from? http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/deepl…

Of course using that one paragraph missed the point of the article, but it works great when I want to character assassinate. Which hacky website wants to run with my story about the deeply racist Seattle Stranger?

Go ahead and vote Obama. Have fun with this: http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archive…

Wouldn't they die out from skin cancer down there? Maybe they should have set their sights a little bit further North.

Swweeeeeett....

Re the online database of Lame Ron Paul Supporter Excuses: YES PLEASE. Each one can be linked directly to concrete bits of Ron Paul news that decidedly puts the lie to the Lame Excuse. That would be a handy thing, indeed...

And, can you say ... PAGE VIEWS?!?!

This essay feels relevant, when discussing Ron Paul and his white supremacist ties.

TL;DR: A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for David Duke! (Unless you want to continue the war on drugs; they do diverge there.)

yes, paul is a monster. yes, obama is a monster. don't kid yourself, this is national level american politics. the cost of admission is your soul. if you vote for a democrat or a republican you will be voting for someone who supports (and will continue to support) abominable, morally bankrupt positions on a wide host of issues. obama supports the drug war. paul supports white supremacists. the fact of the matter is that the drug war is so bad, it is a legitimate question as to which person being in power would be worse for people of color, specifically african americans.

i'm not a paul supporter. but i would be more likely to vote for him than obama & i caucused for obama last time around.

I am NOT a Ron Paul supporter. I voted for Barack Obama last time, and this time I'm for President Barack Obama, because he's my favorite president of all time.

I am not convinced that Ron Paul is racist. The photos look doctored. I have not been able to corroborate any of the allegations, and I've been trying for hours now.

This looks like a political assassination. Ron Paul terrifies the GOP, because he may run as an independent, and if that happens, it'll be a 1992 scenario and the GOP will lose. My gut is telling me that this is an inside job, perpetuated by the GOP to assassinate Mr. Paul's character, and therefore disable his ability to run independently, should he lose the GOP nomination, which looks likely...

The reliable news sources are being careful about how they're presenting this because at this moment, there is simply no actual evidence.

For perspective, I've probably written hundreds of letters and legal memorandum, about very serious issues, and presented them to my bosses, and they'll just sign them without even reading the damn thing! So yes, that sort of thing does happen. Implicit? No, I don't think so... Negligent and just plain stupid? Most certainly.

Everybody take a breath, it may be true, or, you may be being played like a fiddle... The only fact here is that none of us knows the truth.

"We should return to the era when people used gold coins instead of paper money, because there was no racism back then. Nowadays you've got fiat currency, and sociamalism, and your anti-trust, and your federal reserve, and income taxes and what-have-you, and also racisms; Plus the FBI is reading my thoughts and encoding them in the cartoons on Bazooka gum wrappers."

Just had a fun conversation with a Ron Paul supporting Barista... Unfortunately for some reason I mentioned Ron Paul's plethora of documented white supremacist ties & supporters, and got grilled... "What are your sources? The mainstream media hates Ron Paul because of blah blah blah"... and then my favorite, "Obama's a racist too. I'd vote for Ron Paul over Obama". He also hinted that we he agreed with RP that we shouldn't have gotten involved in WWII (Hitler declared war on us and tried to take over the world duhh hello), and that Obama was only President BECAUSE he was black. There's just no arguing with a Paulbot! ha, argh. I think there should definitely be an online database; the responses and logic are almost always the same... www.paul-bot.com is available...
